All Schools – World Mental Health Day
World Mental Health Day is taking place on 10th October. This is an opportunity to think about the importance of mental health and wellbeing. The theme this year is ‘Mental Health as a Universal Human Right’. We are encouraging schools and staff teams to add a book into ‘tea/toast and talk time’. This could be something to encourage at home, in the staff room or even in the classroom where logistics allow. There are some ideas for this attached. Our main Live-stream events will be coming to schools for Children’s Mental Health Week (February 2024), but this is still a good opportunity to spotlight wellbeing during this term.
All Schools – Now Festival 2024
There is still time for your school to join the Now Festival 2024. This will take place during Children’s Mental Health Week at the Lighthouse in Anfield. Each year children and young people from across Liverpool schools share their views and stories around mental health and wellbeing through drama, poetry, film, and dance. The theme in 2024 is around Adverse Childhood Experiences – an ever-relevant theme in our city. More information and details on how to sign up can be found here:

All Schools – Senior Mental Health Lead Training (change of dates)
We have pushed the date back for our Senior Mental Health Lead training to allow more schools to attend. The course will now start on 13th November and run for ten sessions until February half term. This will be the only opportunity to access this training during this academic year. If you have a new Mental Health Lead please encourage then to attend this training. Bookings can be made using the following link:

Schools who have previously paid for the course will not be charged again. DfE grants are still available for schools who haven’t yet accessed them. You can check with LLP whether this applies to your school.
