YPAS Seedlings Service is a creative therapy service for Liverpool’s primary schools. We work with children to explore and process feelings that are troubling them and develop confidence in expressing themselves. This CAMHS service is funded by Liverpool Integrated Care Board and schools directly. Sometimes when children are growing up, changes at home or at school can be difficult to deal with.
The Seedlings team support the emotional needs of children allowing them to develop, grow and to build their resilience. Difficult feelings can affect relationships with important people in our lives, when these feelings are expressed in therapy it becomes easier to understand and make sense of.
Seedlings offer individual 1:1 Creative Therapy sessions that are delivered directly in Liverpool Primary schools (term time) and various community settings (school holidays). A standard of approximately 8 sessions are offered but this is determined on an individual basis in agreement with school.
Schools need to Co-Commission Seedlings in order to have a practitioner based in their school. If your school does not have a Seedlings service you can refer a child to be seen in a YPAS community hub by contacting clinical admin on 0151 707 1025 or email seedlingsleadership@ypas.org.uk.
