Today sees the launch of a new targeted support toolkit on the Mentally Healthy Schools site. Anna Freud, in partnership with and funded by the Department for Education, have collaborated with a range of education and mental health experts to produce this new toolkit for those with responsibility for supporting mental health and wellbeing within their setting.

The targeted support toolkit complements the recently launched DfE-funded mental health lead resource hub. It provides a practical guide and filterable tool to help schools and colleges review, refresh and develop effective targeted support for social, emotional and mental wellbeing. These nationally developed resources/information will sit alongside that provided through your Liverpool Education Mental Health Teams.

The toolkit gives balanced evidence-based advice. It is user-friendly and helps staff with mental wellbeing responsibilities identify need, review their current offer and filter targeted support options by education phase, outcome and delivery method. With guidance on how to identify targeted support options, this toolkit can give staff greater confidence in choosing the most effective support for students in their setting.
